My name is Kristin Yao, I am a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I am also a Gift From A Child (GFAC) Tissue Navigator at Seattle Children’s Hospital. My career started as a Student Helper in the Center for Blood Disorders and Cancer, I then transitioned into my current role as a CRC after graduating from the University of Washington. I am on the Clinical and Translational Research team and work with Jeff Stevens to coordinate postmortem tumor donation at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
I am honored to be a Tissue Navigator for Gift From a Child. Every case is a reminder of the extraordinary kindness and courage of families who choose to donate their child’s tumor to science. Their incredible generosity drives research that advances our understanding of the childhood brain cancer.
