Mateusz Koptyra, PhD

Dr. Mateusz Koptyra is the Research Lab Director in Center for Data Driven Discoveries in Biomedicine (D3b) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Mateusz leads the coordination of Center’s wet bench workflows and pipelines and oversees implementation of wet bench scientific projects around the Center. His main work oscillates around specimens collection, handling storage and downstream processing, tumor models development, high throughput data generation and non-invasive diagnostics.

Mateusz’s team develops tissue specimen-derived tumor models that are currently shared by the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium around the world.
