July’s Legacy
July loved life! He cherished every moment with his family and friends, and whenever he could, he loved playing football.
He was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) on October 12, 2023, when he was just four years old. After many grueling weeks of treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, July’s family chose to spend as much time together as possible.
Despite the tremendous challenges and disabilities the tumor caused, July remained a light of joy to everyone around him. His family celebrated his fifth birthday—surrounded by loved ones and several superheroes—just one month before his passing.
Our Donation Story
Although the family was distraught by the lack of clinical trial options available to their son, they were honored to contribute to research on this devastating disease by donating his tumor and brain tissue after his death. They pray that this small gift will be one step toward a cure.
