Regional Centers of Excellence are regional sites for coordination, processing and storage of donated tissue. The centers work as a collaborative and example of best practice in family and patient care.
Each center coordinates donations across institutional and geographic boundaries. Any family treated anywhere in the United States can be supported by the Gift from a Child team. Our team has experience working with families who choose to stay in the hospital or return home with their precious child.
Each Regional Center of Excellence is directed by a lead investigator(s). These doctors were trained at some of the best universities in the country, are principal investigators on clinical trials and their research has been widely published and presented. These doctors work collaboratively across institutions sharing data, research and ideas. They are passionate about finding cures for pediatric brain cancer and we are honored they are part of the Gift from a Child team.
